Sorry for the vague title, I couldn't think of anything! I had a pretty good week. I got to meet one of my favorite professional golfers, David Toms, at work the other day. He came into where I work, I noticed who he was so I walked up to him and initiated a conversation. We talked about golf, hunting, and fishing, all in all he was a really nice guy. I also got to visit my hometown this weekend. It was a much needed visit. I hadn't been home in over a month! I enjoyed being away from the city and out in the country. I did a bit of fishing and a lot of relaxing! I also got to enjoy some good home cooked food from my mother. I am looking forward to heading out to the golf course tomorrow to get some practice in before the cold weather hits. That's pretty much all I have to say! Thanks for stopping by!

It's Getting Closer
As I was sitting around my house today I realized that it is less than a month away from my first cousin's wedding in Hawaii. This will be the first time that I have ever been to Hawaii and I must say that I am pretty excited. I also realized that I have yet to find a shirt and tie for the wedding. The wedding is very formal, so I wanted to find something very nice. After a long day of searching I finally settled on a shirt and tie, key word being settled. I am unhappy with what I found, and have come to the conclusion that Dillard's in Shreveport and Bossier have a horrible selection, at least in my opinion. I found a pair of pants and a pair of shoes with no problem, matter of fact, the pants and shoes were both on sale. I was happy that I was able to find something today, but I am still shirtless and tie-less. Hopefully my search for the perfect shirt/tie combination will come to an end soon.

Boy What a Day!
I have been living in Shreveport for a little over two years now. Since I have been living here, there has been one golf course that I have wanted to play, but have been unable to. Well I finally got that chance today. My good friend won a free round of golf for four at Southern Trace and being the good friend that he is, he invited me. When driving into the golf course I noticed some very beautiful houses, some of which reminded me of my parents house. This caused me to have a brief emotional moment because I rarely get to visit home. I have heard so many good things about this golf course and I was not let down. I would have to say it is in the top ten nicest courses I have played. I played pretty good for this being the first i have seen the course. I recorded 3 birdies and an eagle on the 18th hole. I really enjoyed the course and would love to play it again. On top of the free golf, I arrived home this evening to a clean house. My girlfriend had the house spotless when I got home. I am somewhat of a neat-freak and my house has been dirty, by my standards, for a few days now and it has been driving me insane. So my girlfriend decided that she would have it clean for me when I got home. All in all I would have to say that this day has exceeded my expectations.

I Hate Painting
Well I was really hoping to get some rest on Saturday after having a really long week but that didn't happen. I spent the entire day painting and remodeling my girlfriend's mother's house. Painting is one of the very few things in this world that I loathe. There is just nothing good about painting. I would hammer, saw, and measure all day with no complaints but after a few minutes of painting I want to pull my hair out. There was a highlight to my Saturday though; when I got home that evening I had a UPS package on my doorstep. Inside this small package was my new rangefinder from Bushnell! I have been anxiously awaiting this delivery for over a month since I found out the rangefinder I wanted was on back order. I cannot wait to get on the golf course and try the new rangefinder out. I had an unfortunate incident with my last rangefinder that I can hopefully keep from repeating. I placed the rangefinder in my bag, or at least I thought I did, and as I took off over a bridge at the golf course my rangefinder bounced out of my cart into the water below. Hopefully I can keep my new rangefinder dry! If there are any lessons learned from reading this, never drop your rangefinder in the water and avoid painting at all costs!
