Final Blog...
I must say that at first I was skeptical about this whole blog thing. I have always been one to avoid computers unless for school purposes. I have never blogged before this class and to be honest I though it was one of the stupidest things I have ever heard of. Well I was wrong. I have actually enjoyed it. I found that it is a good get stuff off of my chest and express my thoughts. Although I may not blog every week from now on, I will probably stop by time to time to let off some steam or to express some thoughts. Now time for some ranting. I really hate this time change. I mean pitch black by six; are you kidding me? I know this is nothing new but every year around this time I get so frustrated at the fact that it seems like you have no daylight to do anything. On the bright side, I got to see my mother today. She came up to pick up some last minute things for our trip to Hawaii. We got to have lunch and do a little shopping. I must say that I am blessed to have such parents. That's all for now!

Rough Week
I was so glade for Friday to arrive (my weekends start on Friday since I do not have class or work)! It seemed like my patience kept getting tested over and over this past week. It seemed like all that happened this week were bad days at work or arguments with my parents. I was actually happy to go to class, it was a break from everything else. We did have something quite scary happen at work Thursday though. A woman was getting out of her SUV, in broad daylight, and someone came up behind her, mugged her, and stole her vehicle. I could not believe that something like this happened in broad daylight on a Thursday morning! I ran into the same woman later that evening at Wal-Mart and as of then she still hadn't heard anything from the police. I caught up on some much needed chores around the house today and will be extremely happy tomorrow when I head to the golf course for some much needed practice.

Hello All
Sorry for the vague title, I couldn't think of anything! I had a pretty good week. I got to meet one of my favorite professional golfers, David Toms, at work the other day. He came into where I work, I noticed who he was so I walked up to him and initiated a conversation. We talked about golf, hunting, and fishing, all in all he was a really nice guy. I also got to visit my hometown this weekend. It was a much needed visit. I hadn't been home in over a month! I enjoyed being away from the city and out in the country. I did a bit of fishing and a lot of relaxing! I also got to enjoy some good home cooked food from my mother. I am looking forward to heading out to the golf course tomorrow to get some practice in before the cold weather hits. That's pretty much all I have to say! Thanks for stopping by!

It's Getting Closer
As I was sitting around my house today I realized that it is less than a month away from my first cousin's wedding in Hawaii. This will be the first time that I have ever been to Hawaii and I must say that I am pretty excited. I also realized that I have yet to find a shirt and tie for the wedding. The wedding is very formal, so I wanted to find something very nice. After a long day of searching I finally settled on a shirt and tie, key word being settled. I am unhappy with what I found, and have come to the conclusion that Dillard's in Shreveport and Bossier have a horrible selection, at least in my opinion. I found a pair of pants and a pair of shoes with no problem, matter of fact, the pants and shoes were both on sale. I was happy that I was able to find something today, but I am still shirtless and tie-less. Hopefully my search for the perfect shirt/tie combination will come to an end soon.

Boy What a Day!
I have been living in Shreveport for a little over two years now. Since I have been living here, there has been one golf course that I have wanted to play, but have been unable to. Well I finally got that chance today. My good friend won a free round of golf for four at Southern Trace and being the good friend that he is, he invited me. When driving into the golf course I noticed some very beautiful houses, some of which reminded me of my parents house. This caused me to have a brief emotional moment because I rarely get to visit home. I have heard so many good things about this golf course and I was not let down. I would have to say it is in the top ten nicest courses I have played. I played pretty good for this being the first i have seen the course. I recorded 3 birdies and an eagle on the 18th hole. I really enjoyed the course and would love to play it again. On top of the free golf, I arrived home this evening to a clean house. My girlfriend had the house spotless when I got home. I am somewhat of a neat-freak and my house has been dirty, by my standards, for a few days now and it has been driving me insane. So my girlfriend decided that she would have it clean for me when I got home. All in all I would have to say that this day has exceeded my expectations.

I Hate Painting
Well I was really hoping to get some rest on Saturday after having a really long week but that didn't happen. I spent the entire day painting and remodeling my girlfriend's mother's house. Painting is one of the very few things in this world that I loathe. There is just nothing good about painting. I would hammer, saw, and measure all day with no complaints but after a few minutes of painting I want to pull my hair out. There was a highlight to my Saturday though; when I got home that evening I had a UPS package on my doorstep. Inside this small package was my new rangefinder from Bushnell! I have been anxiously awaiting this delivery for over a month since I found out the rangefinder I wanted was on back order. I cannot wait to get on the golf course and try the new rangefinder out. I had an unfortunate incident with my last rangefinder that I can hopefully keep from repeating. I placed the rangefinder in my bag, or at least I thought I did, and as I took off over a bridge at the golf course my rangefinder bounced out of my cart into the water below. Hopefully I can keep my new rangefinder dry! If there are any lessons learned from reading this, never drop your rangefinder in the water and avoid painting at all costs!

A Great 23rd
Well I was lucky enough to turn 23 on the 23rd of this month. I was told this was called a "golden birthday". This has actually been one of the longest birthday celebrations that I have had. It started Wednesday night with my girlfriend surprising me with my gifts a night early. Then Thursday the day of my birthday I recived a few more gifts from some friends and family and was also taken to dinner by my girlfriend. Friday my best friend treated me to lunch and that evening my parents came into town and gave me their gift and also took me and my girlfriend to dinner. Today my good friend, who is also my caddie when I play in tournaments, went and played golf at Oakwing Golf Club in Alexadria. The best thing about it was, our golf was free, this really made my day. Turns out one of my old friends was the head pro there now and he didn't charge us for a thing. All in all I would have to say that this has been one of the best birthdays I have ever celebrated.
